OTIMIZAÇÃO DO CRESCIMENTO INICIAL DE MUDAS DE JATOBÁ COM USO ASSOCIADO DE HIDROGEL E OSMOCOTE

Resumo

O uso de insumos que otimizam a disponibilidade de água e nutrientes no substrato pode favorecer o crescimento inicial de espécies florestais nativas em viveiro. O presente estudo avaliou o crescimento inicial e a nutrição de mudas de Hymenaea courbaril L., sob dois níveis de hidrogel e dois níveis de osmocote®, aplicados de forma associada. O experimento foi conduzido em delineamento inteiramente casualizado, em esquema fatorial 2 × 2 + 1, com dois níveis de hidrogel (3 g e 4 g por planta), dois níveis de osmocote® (4 g e 6 g por planta) e uma testemunha (sem aplicação de insumos). Foram avaliadas variáveis morfológicas e nutricionais, como altura, diâmetro do coleto, massa seca, índice de qualidade de Dickson, teores de nutrientes no substrato e acúmulo nos tecidos. O tratamento T2 (3 gramas de hidrogel + 6 gramas de fertilizante) proporcionou os melhores resultados morfológicos. Contudo, o tratamento T1 (3 gramas de hidrogel + 4 gramas de fertilizante) apresentou desempenho semelhante, utilizando menor quantidade de insumos, o que evidencia sua superioridade em termos de eficiência econômica. Por outro lado, o tratamento T4 (4 gramas de hidrogel + 6 gramas de fertilizante), apesar de apresentar maior absorção de nutrientes, não resultou em crescimento significativamente superior. Os resultados indicam que a eficiência no uso dos nutrientes é mais determinante para o desempenho das mudas do que a absorção absoluta. A aplicação conjunta de hidrogel e osmocote® mostrou-se uma estratégia eficaz e promissora para a produção de mudas de H. courbaril em ambientes com limitações hídricas e nutricionais, sendo o tratamento T1 (3 gramas de hidrogel + 4 gramas de fertilizante) recomendado como a alternativa mais equilibrada entre desempenho e custo-benefício.
