This paper studied some aspects of sylvigenetic cicles and architecture of a primary atlantic forest at Unhares, State of Espírito Santo. The dominant trees intercepting inventory lines in a plot of 0,5 ha were mapped and categoryzed as: future trees, present trees and past trees. lt was possible to establish a mosaic map based on this inventory, composed of reorganizing eco units, aggrading, mature and degrading eco-units. The results indicate that, even showing characteristics of a mature and homeostatic forest, this area might have suffered selective logging in the past.
