Abstract

Inheritance and linkage were studied in eight isoenzymes from 21 open-pollinated families of Tabebuia cassinoides (Lam.) D.C. (caixeta), sampled in populations from São Paulo State. Twelve enzyme zones were consistently identified. In all loci, the segregation ratio was homogeneous among heterozygous trees and evidences of departure from expected mendelian segregation were not detected. 6pgdh-1 locus showed significant deviation from the expected 1:1 segregation ratio, but it is necessary to enlarge the sample size to better the evaluation. Linkage evidences were detected in three pairs of loci: Pgi-2:Idh-1, Pgm-1:Per-1 and Per-2:Est-1.
