The aim of this work was to study the genetic variation among Pinus caribaea var. hondurensis provenances, tend to selected adapted and productive populations to Bebedouro region, São Paulo State. Thus, in 1973 was implanted in Bebedouro State Forest, a trial involving ten P. caribaea var. bahamensis provenances and two controls: P. caribaea var. bahamensis and P. caribaea var. caribaea. The trial was implanted in a randomized block design with five replications and 49 trees per plots. The trial was evaluated at 32 years old (2005) to DBH and stem form. The variance analysis detected differences among P. caribaea var. hondurensis provenances to DBH trait, suggesting the possibility of genetic gains with provenance selection. The best provenance for DBH growth was Rio Coco and the worst was Santa Clara, both from Nicaragua. To stem form do not was detected significant differences among provenances. The correlation estimate between temperature of the origin of provenances and stem form trait indicate the possibility of the temperature of the provenance origin to be inflowing the trees stem form at Bebedouro.
