Natural population of Tabebuia cassinoides (Lamarck) A. P. de Candolle have been explored from many decades, and actually there is few remainder populations. The aims of this work were to verify the consequences of forest logging on levels of genetic diversity and mating system of the T. cassinoides populations, in a not logging (JuréiaItatins Ecological Station) and a logging populations (Cindomel Farm, Iguape–SP). The observed levels of genetic diversity in not logging population ( Aˆ = 1.71; Ae ˆ = 1.29; Ho ˆ = 0.197; He ˆ = 0 .224) were, in general, higher than find out in logging population ( Aˆ = 1.71; Ae ˆ = 1.28; Ho ˆ = 0.227; He ˆ = 0.217), although the differences are not significant. In another hand, the estimate of multilocus outcrossing rate was higher in the logging ( tˆ m=0.996) than natural population ( tˆ m= 0.923). The estimates of the differences between multilocus and single-locus outcrossing rate revealed the mating among relatives in not logging ( tˆ s− tˆ m= 0.044) and logging populations ( tˆ s− tˆ m= 0.046). The estimates of paternity correlation revealed that part of the matings were biparentals in not logging ( rˆ p= 0.570) and logging populations ( rˆ p= 0.371) and part of progenies are full-sibs. These results suggesting that the forest logging change the mating system of this species, favoring outcrossing more diversified.
