ASPECTOS DA SUCESSÃO SECUNDÁRIA EM TRECHO DA FLORESTA ATLÂNTICA NO PARQUE ESTADUAL DA SERRA DO MAR, SP

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to study some questions about the secondary succession in the atlantic forest, by caracterizating and developing historical analysis of a secondary forest area at Núcleo Santa Virgínia, São Luiz do Paraitinga, SP. It was found fourty six tree species that belonged to twenty two botanic families. Ten of these species were classified as pionner, thirteen as secondary ones and twenty three as understore ones. The most species exhibited animal dispersal syndrome. The discrited pattern of sucession has similarities with other patterns that were observed in relation to the Dense Ombrophile Forest in the South and Southeast regions of Brasil.
