Six Australian provenances of Grevillea robusta, were introduced in São Paulo State, Brazil, in 1991, with the aim of selecting populations of this species with genetic variability leveis wider than existent at the moment in Brazil. For comparison, a Brazilian cultivated provenance was added, as contrai. These provenances were tested in three Experimental Stations of the Forestry Institute of São Paulo State: Assis, A varé and Itapeva. Experimental plantings were made in randomized blocks, four repetitions each provenance, sixteen plants each plot. The analysis of individual variance presented significant genetic variation at 1% of probability among provenances, only for height of plants in Avaré. Group analysis revealed significant variations for heiglit. It was found, also, interaction among provenances x local for height and D.B.H. Medium growth in D.B.H. and he1ght for each local was compared and the most productive provenance for Assis was found to be Wallaby Creek, 12.6K FR Woodembong for Avaré and Subio Por936 for Itapeva.
