Abstract

The calibration of two experimental watersheds (8 and D) in Walter Emmerich Hydrologic Laboratory was made for a period of six years. Applying the paired catchment method by means of linear regressions, it was correlated the annual streamflow, month).y streamflow, the amount of stormflow and peak áischarge of hydrograph. The D watershed was used as the control. The prediction equations were estimated for the 0.05 significance levei. The equations for annual and monthly streamflow, with low standard error of estimate, could already be used to predict stream flow after an eventual experimental treatment in the B catchment. However, tbe calibration period must be prolonged for a few more years, to sample a higfier range of annual and monthly precipitation and streamflow data, and also to include more observations to improve the prediction equations of the amount of stom1flow and peak discharge.
