INFLUÊNCIA DE CORES NA ATRAÇÃO DE BOSTRICHIDAE (COLEOPTERA) EM ÁREA DE PINHEIRO TROPICAL EM AGUDOS, SP

Flight traps model ESALQ-84, baited or not with ethanol, transparent or painted in white, yellow, brown, green, red and black were tested for Bostrichidae (Coleoptera) attraction in Pinus caribaea v. hondurensis stand. Micrapate brasiliensis was the most captured. species in traps baited with ethanol, regardless the color, and also in traps without ethanol. Ethanol proved to be a good attractant to Bostrichidae; ethanol traps captured significantly more specimens that did traps without th1s bait. Colors similar to host plant coloration, like brown, black and green, when compared to transparent traps, did not interfere on trapping, but contrasting colors Iike white and yellow caused repellent effect, in ethanol baited traps.
