The objective of this paper is to analyse a plateau of about 3800 m2, artificially formed during the Capivari- Cachoeira hydro-power plant períoration work in 'the coast range of Paraná State, abandoned about 20 years ago. A description of the environment currently found in the place is presented, along with considerations of its probable natural evolution and managementsuggestions.
