Several intensities of sustained yield management regimes were tested in an area of tropical florest at Unhares Forest Reserve belonging to Cia. Vale do Rio Doce - CVRD, located in the municipality of Unhares, State of Espírito Santo, Brazil. The statistical design for this test was Complete Random Blocks with five replications and nine treatments. This test was installed in 1980 and data collected before and after thinning (1980), and in 1983, 1987 and 1990.
