INFLUÊNCIA DA PROFUNDIDADE DE SEMEADURA E LUMINOSIDADE NA GERMINAÇÃO DE SEMENTES DE CAGAITA (EUGENIA DYSENTERICA MART.)

Seeds of cagaita (Eugenia dysenterica Mart.) wore seeded at different deeps under two light conditions, in plastic pots with 14 cm of diameter and 11 cm of height, filled with washed sand. Treatments were O, 1, 2, 3 and 4 cm of deeps and light intensities were full naturallight and 50% of shadowing. Seedswere scarified by scratching their coat up to get a small hole. The result demonstrated that the two levels of shadowing and different deeps did not affected final germination percentage, with ali treatments reaching over 80% of germination. However, the speed ofgermination was influenced bydeep and lhe faster germination rate were reached at 1 and 2 cm.
