One of the Projects Yacare, conceived by Fundação de Ensino Superior de Mato Grosso - FESMAT - to know features of auto and sinecology of Caiman crocodilus yacare (DAUDIN, 1802), the populational studies about "jacaré pantaneiro", after an exploratory phase realized between july and september of 1991, and continuation during the rainy period and overflow, when, between 21/ 12/91 and 03/02/92, were computed 335 units during the daily counting and 938 atthe night census, itwas realized in eight farms located at Cáceres town (seven) and Vila Bela da Santíssima Trindade town (one). Part of the animais, 88 (eighty-eight), was captured for sexagy and taking of biometric datas, with the objective of construct the populational structure.
