COMPOSiÇÃO ESTRUTURAL E QUANTITATIVA DE UMA FLORESTA SECUNDÁRIA DO NORTE CATARINENSE

The data forthis research came from awell-preserved secondary forest, located in the north plateau of Santa Catarina, county of Três Barras. The objectives were the study of the structural composition by searching the sociological indexes, and quantitative composition by estimating the main dendrometric parameters, and their distributions by diameter classes for the most frequent species. The results showed the occurrence of 43 tree species with DBH above 19 em, and that the Araucaria angustifolia participated with 80% of the volume, 64% of the basal area, and 49 % of this forest's number.
