Abstract

FromAprilj88 to March/90, hydromorphological studies were made in experimental area drained for intermittent stream, with 0,63 ha,localized in left margin of Pilões river in Cubatão valley, "P. E. da Serra do Mar". This is a sample of not much degraded area. The objective of this study was the knowledge of water dynamic through the control of water budget: gross precipitation (PT), throughfall (PI), stemflow (ET), penetration (PN), interceptation (IN), overland flow (ESP) and infiltration (AS). Show here partial results from overland flow. The equation that relate these parameterwith gross precipitation, are the following: ESP = 0,0389 + 0,0627 * PT The overland flow correspond to 1,50% of gross precipitation. The frequency and intensity of rainfall were the principal influence in the overland flow.
