From April/88 to March/90, interceptation studies were made in experimental are a drained for intermittent stream, with 0,63 ha, localized in left margin of Pilões river in Cubatão valley, "P.E. da Serra do Mar". This is a sample of a not much degraded area. The objective of this study was to comprehend the water dynamic through the control of water budget: gross precipitation (PT), throughfall (PI), stemflow (ET), penetration (PN), interceptation (IN), overland flow (ESP) and infiltration (AS). Shown here are partial results from PI, ET, PN and IN. The equations that relates these parameters with gross precipitation are the following: PI =-1,0962 + 0,9549 * PT PN =-1,0529 + 0,9596 * PT ET = 0,0480 + 0,0046' PT IN = 1,0429 + 0,0405 * PT The results shows that throughfall, stemflow and interceptation correspond to 9,09%,0,32% and 8,59% of gross precipitation.
