The present research was realized at some sections of the gallery forest of the Jarú and Ji-Paraná rivers in Rondônia State (RO). This area will be inundated due to the construction of the "UHE-Ji-Paraná" hydroeleetrie power. The main objective of this work was to supply suHicient data for possible saving and preservation of plant material with greateconomic and/or scientific interest frorp this region, using vegetative and sexual propagation. The species which propagate through specialized structures like root systems presented a recovery of 100%.27,9% of the 43 species studied by the method of shoot euttings showed successful results, however the use of naphthalene acetic acid (NAA) which is a very eHective favorable results, in terms of seed-germination, have been obtained with the species of the Leguminosae family. The collected seedlings which have been kept in the glasshouse resulted also in a satisfactory behaviour.
